Novi Sad, 4 June –President of the AP Vojvodina Assembly, dr Juhász Bálint, and President of the Provincial Government, Maja Gojković, held their regular monthly working meeting today, during which they discussed cooperation between provincial institutions and preparations for the upcoming session of the AP Vojvodina Assembly.
The discussion focused on draft decisions and other acts that will be considered at the Assembly session later this month. Special attention was paid to topics in the fields of education and student welfare, as well as activities related to interregional and cross-border cooperation.
President Juhász informed President Gojković about the activities of the AP Vojvodina Assembly within the framework of the Assembly of European Regions (AER), highlighting the significance of yesterday’s election of the Vice-President of the Assembly of AP Vojvodina, Aleksandra Maletić, as Vice-President of this influential and extensive network of European regions. The importance of the fact that Vojvodina will soon assume the presidency of the Danube–Criș–Mureș–Tisa (DKMT) Euroregion was also emphasised, as that represents a further strengthening of its role in regional cooperation and connectivity.
The interlocutors also discussed tourism results in AP Vojvodina, noting that the growth in tourist arrivals and overnight stays during the first five months of the current year confirms the importance of investments in tourism offerings and infrastructure, as well as the significant potential for further development of this economic sector.
