Novi Sad, 2 March – The President of the AP Vojvodina Assembly, Bálint Juhász, met today with the Director of the University Clinical Centre of Vojvodina, prof. Vesna Turkulov, MD, PhD and Deputy Director prof. Gyülvészi Gyula MD, PhD, to discuss the current state of healthcare in the province, ongoing investments and planned programmes for the period ahead.
It was noted at the meeting that healthcare will remain one of the province’s top priorities in 2026.
“A total of 3.76 billion RSD has been allocated from the provincial budget for this purpose. Of this amount, 1.26 billion RSD is designated for the development of healthcare infrastructure, while the additional 2 billion RSD will be invested through healthcare programmes to further strengthen healthcare services and enhance the overall functioning of the system,” Juhász stated. The allocated funds are already producing visible results through concrete investments, with further improvements continuing at the University Clinical Centre of Vojvodina in Novi Sad.
The participants agreed that their shared goal remains clear: to ensure that the citizens of Vojvodina have access to modern, safe and patient-centred healthcare services delivered in well-equipped medical facilities.
