Novi Sad, 2nd February – A ceremony marking the 107th anniversary of the founding of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vojvodina was held today in Novi Sad, attended by representatives of provincial institutions, the business community, international partners, and recipients of the annual awards.

Addressing the attendees, President of the AP Vojvodina Assembly, Bálint Juhász, emphasized that the Chamber of Commerce has been among the institutions that endure not only because they are established by regulations, but because they are deeply rooted in economic reality and in people’s lives.

“The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vojvodina is older than many states, systems, and economic models. It has survived crises and transformations, yet each time it has remained a pillar of the economy and a place of trust,” Mr. Juhász stated. He highlighted that in 2025 the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina accounted for 32 percent of the total exports of the Republic of Serbia, and stressed the particular importance of the change in the export structure, with an increasing share of higher value-added products, the processing industry, and industrial equipment.

Mr. Juhász also noted that development implied quality investments, institutional stability, and partnership between the state and the economy, especially in the context of digital and green transition.

“Provincial institutions remain a partner to the economy – a partner of stability, development, and to those who work, produce, and stay here,” Mr. Juhász emphasized.

President of the Provincial Government, Maja Gojković, stated that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vojvodina has been a pillar of economic development, stability, and the connection of knowledge, work, and responsibility.

“This valuable anniversary is also a precious testament to perseverance, adaptability, and the strength of a community that, through various and often difficult historical circumstances, has always known how to preserve what matters most – faith in work, entrepreneurship, and shared progress,” Ms Gojković said.

Mayor of Novi Sad, Žarko Mićin, said that the Chamber of Commerce has been a cornerstone of development, cooperation, and a strong economy.

“We will continue to invest in sustainable development, new jobs, and partnership with the business community,” Mićin stated.

President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vojvodina, Vladimir Gak, emphasized that for 107 years the Chamber has been a reliable support for businessmen and a bridge between the business community, institutions, and international partners, and noted that priorities in the coming period included digitalisation, sustainable development, improvement of chamber services, and fast access to accurate information for businesses.

During the ceremony, the “Moj market” platform was officially launched, which is a unique on-line platform dedicated to the promotion and sale of products made by women entrepreneurs. The platform brings women entrepreneurs together in one place and enables a fast and secure way to support domestic production.

As part of the ceremony, “Kosta Mirosavljević” traditional annual Chamber of Commerce awards were presented for the previous year to: BMK Agrar Ltd from Stara Pazova, AG-UNS Architectural and Construction Institute Ltd from Novi Sad, and TOYO TIRE SERBIA Ltd from Inđija. The titles of Businesswoman of the Year and Businessman of the Year were awarded to Mia Kostić-Strajin (“Puerra”) and Aleksandar Galić (“Galens”), respectively, while the “Golden Pen of the Economy” award was presented to Dnevnik Vojvodina Press Ltd.
