Subotica/Novi Sad, 2 November - President of the Assembly of AP Vojvodina Bálint Juhász attended today the traditional commemoration and ecumenical liturgy at the Senta Cemetery in Subotica, held in remembrance of the innocent victims of 1944 and 1945.
At the memorial complex of the Senta Cemetery, President Juhász laid a wreath at the “Bird with Broken Wings” monument, erected in memory of more than one thousand innocent victims of wartime repression.
Those gathered paid tribute to all the victims and expressed their compassion and solidarity with their descendants and families, emphasising the importance of remembrance, respect and reconciliation.
The commemoration and liturgy at the “Bird with Broken Wings” memorial have been held since 1990, serving as a traditional gathering place for representatives of a number of institutions and organisations.
On behalf of the Provincial Government, a wreath was laid by Vice President Tomislav Žigmanov. 
Wreaths were also laid by the descendants of the victims, representatives of the Subotica City Assembly, Office of the Mayor of Subotica, North Bačka Administrative District, Consulate of the Republic of Hungary, as well as representatives of the national councils of the Hungarian, Croatian and Bunjevac national minorities, German National Alliance, Jewish Community of Subotica and various political parties.
