Senta, 11 September – The President of the AP Vojvodina Assembly Mkr Balint Juhász attended today in Senta the ceremonial presentation of a prototype of a new fire-fighting vehicle, jointly developed by BM Heros Zrt. from Hungary and FAP AD from Serbia.

On this occasion, the President emphasised that the cooperation, as well as the event itself, organised by the Hungarian–Western Balkans Business Council in partnership with relevant stakeholders, represented a significant and authentic example of concrete outcomes of the historical reconciliation and the partner and friendly relations between Serbia and Hungary.

“This prototype clearly demonstrates how strong relations between our two nations and states can yield tangible economic results. Through the joint engagement of our companies, a solution has been created that not only enhances public safety but also proves that good bilateral relations bring measurable benefits to the entire region,” President Juhász stated, further noting that the pooling of resources and knowledge between the two sides could produce results that would contribute both to industrial development and the improved safety of all citizens.

Expressing hope that production of the new fire-fighting vehicles would be based in Senta, the President underlined that the project’s significance was not recognised in Serbia and Hungary only, but extended across the entire Western Balkans region.

“The Autonomous Province of Vojvodina strongly supports initiatives that strengthen partnerships with neighbouring countries and regions and bring prosperity for all,” President Juhász concluded.

Representatives of BM Heros Zrt. and FAP AD highlighted that the project represented a major step forward in industrial cooperation between Hungary and Serbia, as well as a strong example of innovation in the field of public safety.

The prototype has been built on a chassis manufactured by FAP, with a specialised superstructure developed by BM Heros, and is tailored to meet the modern operational requirements of fire-fighting units in Serbia and throughout the Western Balkans region.

In addition to the vehicle presentation, the event featured an exhibition of other types of fire-fighting vehicles and specialised equipment, company showcases and a live demonstration of the new prototype in action.

The ceremony was attended by numerous representatives of the business community and public institutions, as well as His Excellency the Ambassador of Hungary to the Republic of Serbia, Jozsef Magyar.
