08. 02. 2025.President Juhász spoke with President of National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić

Novi Sad, 8 February - President of the AP Vojvodina Assembly, Juhász Bálint hosted today the President of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić who was officially visiting the provincial parliament for the first time.

Juhász and Stevandić discussed the continuation of the long standing and traditional cooperation between the two parliaments, both on the level of friendship of parliamentary groups and Assemblies’ working bodies and professional services with the aim of exchanging experience, examples of good practice and implementing joint activities. 

President Juhász stressed his conviction that the two parliaments and presidents would continue and further cooperation, which had sound foundation and was started by their predecessors, be maintaining institutional connections as well as ties between the citizens of the AP Vojvodina and the Republic of Srpska.

“There are also institutional frameworks in the form of signed protocols on cooperation at the parliamentary level, as well as between professional services which provide a wide range of possibilities to work together and contribute to the development and prosperity of Vojvodina and Srpska”, said Juhász and added that the cooperation between the motherland and the diaspora was very important to both the AP Vojvodina and the Republic of Serbia. 

President Stevandić thanked President Juhász for his welcome and particularly underscored the very significant role that the former president of the AP Vojvodina Assembly István Pásztor had in establishing and maintaining ties of the two parliaments. Focusing attention on the apparent intention to continue this cooperation, he invited President Juhász to visit the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska with his delegation in the near future.

The delegation of the Republic of Srpska is visiting Novi Sad while participating in the “Homeland Fair - Homeland through Economy, Tourism and Culture” at Novi Sad Fair, which is organised by the Provincial Fund for Refugees, Displaced Persons, and Cooperation with Serbs in the Region.
