15. 10. 2024.President Juhász received the Secretary General of the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference

Novi Sad, 15 October - President of the AP Vojvodina Assembly, Juhász Bálint received today the Secretary General of the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference, Dubéczi Zoltán PhD, with whom he discussed the upcoming session of this organisation, which will be held on 14 and 15 November in Subotica and Novi Sad. 

At the meeting, mutual satisfaction was expressed that the session of the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference, which gathers rectors of universities and colleges in Hungary, will be held again in AP Vojvodina, as well as that a joint Hungarian-Serbian rectors’ forum would be held in Novi Sad on the second day of the session.

“We are truly honoured that the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference once again chose Vojvodina as the host of this session. This is another confirmation that compatriots who do not live in the home country are also very important for this body, which has a very important role in creating educational policies in Hungary. It will be a privilege for us to host rectors from numerous Hungarian universities in AP Vojvodina, and I am sure that the Teacher Training Faculty in Subotica, which is hosting the first day of the session, will provide all the necessary high-level logistical assistance,” Juhász said at the meeting, which was also attended by professor Szabolcs Halasi PhD, associate professor and vice-dean for international cooperation of the Hungarian Language Teacher Training Faculty in Subotica.

President Juhász also expressed great satisfaction that on the second day of the session in Novi Sad, held at the Rectorate of the University of Novi Sad, a joint Serbian-Hungarian rector’s forum would be held.

“During the last week’s meeting with the rector of the University of Novi Sad, professor Dejan Madić PhD, we jointly expressed our satisfaction regarding the upcoming session and the excellent and productive partnership and cooperation of the University of Novi Sad with universities in Hungary,” said Juhász.

The Hungarian Rectors’ Conference (HRC) is an organisation that brings together the rectors of universities and colleges in Hungary, with the main goal of promoting cooperation between higher education institutions, improving the quality of education, providing a platform for dialogue on key topics in higher education and representing the interests of universities and other higher education institutions before the government and international organisations. This organisation plays a key role in shaping and strengthening the system of higher education in Hungary, by promoting cooperation and exchange of knowledge between universities, but also between the academic community and the economy.
