04. 10. 2024.President Juhász visited 55th International Fairs “LORIST” at the Novi Sad Fair

Novi Sad, October 4th - Bálint Juhász, President of the AP Vojvodina Assembly, together with the General Manager of the Novi Sad Fair Nikola Lovrić, visited today the 55th International Fairs “LORIST”  - International Fairs of Hunting and Fishing and the Fair of Ecology.

After visiting national and foreign exhibitors’ stands, among which were those of competent provincial secretariats and public enterprises founded by the AP Vojvodina Assembly, President Juhász noted that “Lorist” had established itself as the most important fair event of this kind in the region this year as well.

“Throughout the years Lorist has confirmed its domination, which is supported by the great attendance of stakeholders from our country and the wider region. This event is also a part of Vojvodina’s tourist offer while exhibitors themselves attract tourists by displaying their offers”, said Juhász.

Speaking on the importance of the Fair of Ecology, Juhász assessed as important the fact that the focus was placed on the environmental protection and return to nature as well as raising awareness on primary waste selection. 

“I am very glad that the emphasis is put on raising ecological awareness. The City of Novi Sad educates our youngest citizens on how to take care of the environment and I am convinced that we will manage to raise the awareness on this important topic to a higher level”, said Juhász and added that hunters and fishermen play their role in the preservation of the environment as much as other citizens. 

General director of the Novi Sad Fair, Nikola Lovrić, said that the AP Vojvodina Assembly and Novi Sad Fair had maintained excellent cooperation, adding that the Assembly had supported the organisation of fair events. He especially thanked President Juhász for facilitating Hungary to be a partner country in the next International Tourism Fair.

President  and director Lovrić visited, among others, the stands of the Provincial Secretariat for Urban Planning and Environmental Protection, City Administration for Environmental Protection of the City of Novi Sad, PC “Vojvodinašume”, companies “Capriolo” and “Wagner”, as well as the exhibition of hunting fauna of the Republic of Serbia. This year’s “Lorist” International Fairs were officially opened on 2 October and will last until Sunday, 6 October.
