Subotica/Novi Sad, 25 September – President of the AP Vojvodina Assembly Juhász Bálint visited today the completed works and investments in Palić and Subotica, which were financed from the AP Vojvodina budget.
While inspecting the newly built sidewalk in the Weekend settlement, which is the continuation of the project of regulating a previously neglected part of Palić, President Juhász underlined the importance of completed investments and the regulation of this settlement for rising its tourist potential.
“I was pleased to note today that the works on the shore of Lake Palić, financed from the provincial budget, and which were advocated for by the distinguished late president Pásztor István have been completed. Works were heavily underway during our recent visit with the President of the Provincial Government Maja Gojković, and now they are completed on time”, said President Juhász.
Juhász added that he also hoped for the construction of the running track and the cycling lane around the lake, which would surely increase the tourist attractiveness and attract the those tourists who are want to spend their holidays actively.
“There are still some facilities which we plan to reconstruct in order to increase the capacities of this tourist destination, Subotica and its surrounding area”, noted Juhász.
The manager of the enterprise “Park Palić“ Valerija Denč noted that in the last two years, with the assistance of the provincial administration, large projects were implemented that gave Palić a completely new look. She especially pointed out the importance of the renovation of the Weekend settlement which was completely neglected and which damaged the appearance of the entire Palić. The total of 36.480.000 RSD was allocated from the AP Vojvodina budget for its renovation.
President of AP Vojvodina Assembly Juhász Bálint visited also the Primary school “Majšanski put” in Subotica today, whose sports fields were completely renovated with the funds from the provincial budget in the amount of 13.1 million RSD.
“We are very pleased that the pupils of this school will now have much better conditions for playing sports because the tennis and basketball courts now have a new tartan surface and a new fence”.
The Primary school “Majšanski put” in Subotica is attended by nearly 600 pupils and teaching is conducted in two languages in 29 classes, in 16 classes in Serbian and in 13 classes in Hungarian.
Deputy Mayor of Subotica Góli Csilla and the President of the City of Subotica Assembly Daniel Đivanović also accompanied the President’s visit to these two important investments.
