05. 07. 2024.Juhász and Novaković at the opening of the 13th International Festival of Danube Cities and Regions in Ulm

Ulm/Novi Sad, 5th July - President of the AP Vojvodina Assembly Bálint Juhász and Vice-President of the APV Assembly Boris Novaković are attending today in the German city of Ulm the ceremonial opening of the 13th  International Festival of Danube Cities and Regions, which is traditionally held every other year, organised by the cities of Ulm and New Ulm and the Danube Bureau. 

Before the opening of the traditional meeting of cities and regions connected by the Danube River, President Juhász and Vice-President Novaković met with the delegation of the city of Ulm, with which the AP Vojvodina has been fostering friendly and partnering relations for decades.

„Cooperation between the AP Vojvodina and the city of Ulm has over the past decades gave rise to and helped our cooperation with the state of Baden-Württemberg, connected our cities and people, just as the Danube connects us. As was also emphasized during the last visit of the Ulm and New Ulm delegations to Novi Sad, our cooperation with Ulm is special and unique due to the established friendship, personal contacts and unconditional trust“, said President Juhász at the meeting with Ulm’s deputy mayor Martin Bendel and their associates.

President Juhász talked with the Ulm delegation and the Danube Bureau representatives about taking possible further steps within the Danube-Sava cooperation, which had been initiated in 2014, precisely during the International Festival of Danube Cities and Regions in Ulm. 

In the evening, President Juhász and Vice-President Novaković will attend the opening ceremony of the 13th International Festival of Danube Cities and Regions, during which representatives of all Danube countries and regions will promote their cultural, tourist, economic and other potentials. During the ten days of this festival, a large number of conferences on Danube cooperation, economic forums, as well as accompanying cultural, artistic and musical performances will be held.
