Novi Sad, 12 July – The President of the AP Vojvodina Assembly Juhász Bálint and director of the PC „Vojvodinašume“ Roland Kokai have exchanged views today on the importance of responsible management of the growing stock, as forests are of immeasurable value, representing a capital natural resource.
„Care for the growing stock is of capital significance for the AP Vojvodina, but very important are also other spheres within the scope of work of this company, such as hunting, fishing, hunting tourism and care for natural protected areas. It is significant for us, but also for the sake of future generations“, Juhász said.
Juhász and Kokai also discussed the plans of this company in the forthcoming period and touched upon the activities that will contribute to protection and afforestation. As they emphasised, restoration of forest ecosystems is one of the essential prerequisites for a more healthy environment, preservation of flora and fauna, as well as mitigation of consequences caused by the climate change.
They added that PC „Vojvodinašume“ by cooperating with educational institutions, organising courses, promoting volunteering and including the community in the company’s events, had demonstrated social responsibility in their work.
It was emphasised at the meeting that the AP Vojvodina Assembly, as the founder of PC „Vojvodinašume“, would continue providing the full support to this company for the purpose of furthering its successful work in the future.
