20. 05. 2024.President Juhász visited the 91st International Agricultural Fair

Novi Sad, 20th May  - President of the Assembly of AP Vojvodina Bálint Juhász  visited today the 91st International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad where, along with Chief Executive Officer of the Novi Sad Fair Nikola Lovrić, spoke with representatives of institutions, companies and producers who participated in this most important agri - business event in the region. 

In his media address, President Juhász emphasised his full willingness and determined intention to continue and further improve the good cooperation between the Assembly of AP Vojvodina and the Novi Sad Fair. 

“I am very pleased that the Agricultural Fair is an event that is on the rise again, with the increasing number of exhibitors and participating countries. This fair is a holiday of our agriculture where we can proudly show that we are capable of producing world-class agricultural machinery, and that we have high-quality food and agricultural processing industry products”, said President Juhász.

He pointed out that the Novi Sad Fair is a place of economic cooperation and creation of synergy of knowledge, merging of agriculture, economy and science and creation of new values.

“I also consider it important that our this year’s partner is for the first time the European Union (EU), and I hope this will give an additional impetus to further cooperation between the AP Vojvodina and other European regions,”  President Juhász emphasised.   

At the meeting that preceded the tour of the exhibitors of this year’s fair, President Juhász and Director Lovrić spoke about starting the initiative for Hungary to be a partner country of the forthcoming Tourism Fair at the Novi Sad Fair, in December this year.

“I also talked with director Lovrić about how we can strengthen the cooperation between Hungary and the Novi Sad Fair, with a view to promoting mutual tourism potentials. I accepted the idea of realising the intention of Hungary to become a partner of the upcoming Tourism Fair, and we will do our best to realise it together,” Juhász said. 

Chief Executive Officer of the Novi Sad Fair, Nikola Lovrić, expressed his satisfaction with the President Juhász’ visit to this year’s fair and continuation of the long-standing successful cooperation with the Assembly of AP Vojvodina.

He also stressed that Hungary had always been a reliable and active partner of the Novi Sad Fair, and that he expected the synergy to continue for the benefit of the further development of the AP Vojvodina and the Republic of Serbia.

Mr. Juhász and Mr. Lovrić visited the stands of the Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, and other provincial institutions, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Serbia, the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, the company KITE d.o.o., as well as other exhibitors at this year’s fair. 

The 91st International Agricultural Fair runs from 18th to 23rd May, with the participation of more than 1,200 exhibitors from Serbia and 40 other countries.
