08. 05. 2024.AP Vojvodina Assembly elected a new Provincial Government

Novi Sad, 8 May - At today’s session of the AP Vojvodina Assembly, a new Provincial Government was elected by a majority of vote, while Maja Gojković was elected the new President of the Provincial Government 

In her keynote address, Maja Gojković presented plans, principal guidelines, priorities and goals of the new Provincial Government. Inter alia, she announced the continuity in the implementation of development projects focusing on the fields of economy, traffic, utility infrastructure, culture and social protection.

“In all forthcoming current, major and development projects, in all scopes of its competences, the Provincial Government shall be guided by the interest of all citizens of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, their well-being and prosperity. With togetherness and use of all potentials and resources, we shall give full impetus towards the achievement of set goals and overcoming of all challenges facing the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and the Republic of Serbia”, underscored President Gojković and said that in the coming period the Provincial Government will fill the presented framework with substantial projects, measures and all other activities in the best possible interest of all citizens of Vojvodina. She also thanked for the support and trust shown.

In addition to the President Gojković, the Provincial Government includes;

Sandra Božić, elected the Vice President of the Provincial Government,

Otot Robert, elected the Vice President of the Provincial Government and the Provincial Secretary for Education, Regulations, Administration and National Minorities – National Communities,

Vladimir Galić, elected the Vice President of the Provincial Government and the Provincial Secretary for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry,

Dr Milan Popov, elected the Vice President of the Provincial Government and the Provincial Secretary for Health, 

Nemanja Erceg, elected the Provincial Secretary for Urban Planning and Environmental Protection,

Nenad Ivanišević, elected the Provincial Secretary for Economy and Tourism,

Predrag Vuletić, elected the Provincial Secretary for Social Policy, Demography and Gender Equality,

Aleksandar Sofić, elected the Provincial Secretary for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-Government, 

Aleksandra Ćirić Bošković, elected the Provincial Secretary for Culture, Public Information and Relations with Religious Communities,                            

Smiljka Jovanović, elected the Provincial Secretary of Finance, 

Dr Branko Markoski, PhD, elected the Provincial Secretary for Higher Education and Scientific Research,   

Dane Basta, elected the Provincial Secretary for Sports and Youth,

Bojan Vranjković, elected the Provincial Secretary for Energy, Construction and Transport.

Following the election, the President, Vice Presidents and members of the new Provincial Government took the oath in the AP Vojvodina Assembly. President, Vice Presidents and deputies of the Assembly congratulated the new Government and wished them successful work and good cooperation. 

The AP Vojvodina Assembly appointed Szakállas Zsolt as the Deputy Secretary General of the AP Vojvodina Assembly.
