Novi Sad, 25 April - The Assembly of the Autonomous Province Vojvodina in the continuation of the first session passed the Decision on the election of the President of the AP Vojvodina Assembly and the Decision on the election of the Vice Presidents of the AP Vojvodina Assembly and the Decision on the appointment of the Secretary General of the Assembly. Furthermore, a Decision on the election of presidents and members of Committees of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province Vojvodina was also passed.
The Provincial Deputy Juhász Bálint was elected the President of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province Vojvodina.
When assuming his duties, the AP Vojvodina Assembly President Juhász Bálint took the following oath before the deputies:
“I do solemnly swear that I will observe the Constitution and law of the Republic of Serbia, the Statute of the
Autonomous Province of Vojvodina; that I will execute the office of the President of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina in a conscientious, impartial and responsible manner, following the principles of democracy, citizens’ interests and interests of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and that I will protect the reputation of the Assembly”.
In his first address as the Assembly President, Juhász Bálint congratulated all provincial deputies on the verification of their mandates and wished them successful work and good cooperation.
He thanked them for the trust shown and emphasised that he had great honour and responsibility to, together with deputies, work on the preservation and further development of the high level of tolerance, civil dialogue, mutual respect, cooperation and efficacy, as the groundwork of good practice in the assembly activities, which existed also in the previous mandates.
Article 13 of the Provincial Assembly Decision on the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and Article 22 of the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, regulate that whenever it is constituted, the Assembly shall determine the number of the Assembly Vice-Presidents at the President’s proposal. The Assembly decided to have four Vice Presidents in this mandate.
The elected Vice-Presidents of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina are: Aleksandra Maletić, Damir Zobenica, Nemanja Zavišić and Boris Novaković.
Pursuant to Article 27 of the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, when assuming their duties, Vice Presidents of the Assembly took the oath after which the Assembly President congratulated them and wished them
successful work.
During the rest of the session, the Assembly appointed Sandra Stojković SJD as the Secretary General of the AP Vojvodina Assembly. After the appointment, the President and Vice Presidents congratulated Sandra Stojković SJD.
At the end of the session, the Assembly passed the Decision on the election of presidents and members of Committees of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province Vojvodina.
