The Secretary General of the Assembly of the AP Vojvodina

The Assembly of the AP Vojvodina has its Secretary General, appointed by the Assembly upon the proposal of the Assembly President.

The Secretary General of the AP Vojvodina Assembly is Nikola Banjac, Master of Laws, appointed the Secretary General of the AP Vojvodina Assembly at the constitutive session of the Assembly held on 2 June 2016.


Duties at the Assembly

  • The Secretary General shall assist the President and Vice-Presidents of the Assembly in preparation and conducting of sessions; administer the Assembly Service; see to the application of acts enacted by the Assembly and perform other duties stipulated in the Rules of Procedure.
  • The Secretary General shall account to the Assembly and the President of the Assembly for their work.

 

Biography

Nikola Banjac was born on 10 February 1982.

He completed primary school and „Jovan Jovanović Zmaj“Grammar School in Novi Sad. He acquired his higher education in undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Law of the University of Novi Sad, as well as during his master studies in 2010 at the Faculty of Law, with the graduate thesis titled „The Role and Importance of a Closing Argument in Judicial Oratory”. He enrolled his doctoral studies in 2011/2012 at the University of Novi Sad. He passed the bar examination and state qualifying exam required for employment in public authorities.

He worked as a trainee-volunteer at the Criminal Department of the High Court of Novi Sad and then as a paralegal at a law office. Since 2010 he performed duties of the Head of Legal and General Affairs Service at the Provincial Institute for Nature Conservation and since 2013, he was a Deputy Head of the City Administration for Environmental Protection of the City of Novi Sad.

He was a member of the City Electoral Commission in its permanent composition, and presently he is a member of the Provincial Electoral Commission in its permanent composition.

He has been a permanent member of the Matica Srpska (Central Serbian Cultural and Publishing Society) since 2010. He is the author of numerous papers in the field of judicial oratory and environmental protection, which have been published in the Journal of the Lawyers’ Chamber of Vojvodina and a number of magazines, as well as presented at the Kopaonik School of Natural Law and October Legal Days in Banja Luka.

Apart from his native Serbian language, he also speaks the English language.

He is married with two children.

Deputy Secretary General

The deputy secretary of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina

The Secretary General of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina shall have a deputy appointed by the Assembly upon the proposal of the Secretary General of the Assembly and the written approval of the Assembly President.

The Deputy Secretary General of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina is Ms Mila Radisavljević Bachelor of Laws, appointed the Deputy Secretary General of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina at its 2nd session held on 11 July 2012.


Duties at the Assembly

  • The Deputy shall assist the General Secretary of the Assembly in performing their duties and stand in for the Secretary in case they are absent or prevented from fulfilling their duties.


Biography

Mila Radisavljević completed primary school and Grammar School “Jovan Jovanović - Zmaj” in Novi Sad. She graduated from the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad within the planned time frame in 1975, and obtained the Bachelor of Laws degree.

In September 1975 she commenced her work as an intern in the AP Vojvodina Assembly Service. After passing the state exam required for employees in public authorities, she worked in the AP Vojvodina Assembly Service and was in charge of complex expert and normative-legal and analytical affairs, holding the post of Advisor, Deputy Secretary and Secretary of Legislative-Legal Commission. Since 1991, in several mandates, she has worked as a Deputy Secretary of the AP Vojvodina Assembly.

She was born on 30 July 1951 in Ljubljana (Slovenia) and has lived in Novi Sad since 1955.
