Deputies' Groups

A deputies' group may be formed at the Assembly, comprising at least five deputies. A deputy may be a member of one deputies' group only. A deputies' group comprises deputies from one political party, other political organisation or a group of citizens. A deputies' group may be formed by association of deputies of several political parties, other political organisations or groups of citizens.

A deputies' group is represented by the chief whip. There is also a deputy chief whip of the deputies’ group, who stands in for the chief whip in case of their absence.

A deputies' group has the right, through its president, to submit the proposal to place certain item on the agenda of the Assembly and committees' sessions, to present their opinions and proposals regarding the draft decision, other regulation or general act while being considered, to put forward the amendments and discharge other duties set forth in the Rules of Procedure.
