Secretary General of the Assembly

The Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina has its Secretary General, appointed by the Assembly upon the proposal of the Assembly President.

The Secretary General of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina is Sandra Stojković SJD, who was appointed the Secretary General of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina at the session held on 23 February 2023.

Duties at the Assembly

  • The Secretary General shall assist the President and Vice-Presidents of the Assembly in preparation and conducting of the sessions, administer the Assembly Service, see to the implementation of acts enacted by the Assembly and perform other tasks stipulated by the Rules of Procedure.
  • The Secretary General shall account to the Assembly and the President of the Assembly for his/her work.

Biography

She was born in 1987 in Novi Sad. She graduated in 2010 from the Faculty of Law of the University of Novi Sad with a grade point average (9.52), she completed her master's studies at the same faculty in 2011 with a grade point average (9.60). She completed her doctoral studies in 2016, majoring in Public Law, at her home faculty, defending her doctoral dissertation entitled: "Mutual recognition of decisions in criminal matters and the rights of the defendant".

During her studies, in addition to her courses, she was also involved in extracurricular activities - she participated in regional competitions with the team of the Faculty of Law of the University of Novi Sad and completed a summer internship at the head office of the National Bank of the Republic of Serbia in Belgrade. In addition, she was a scholarship holder of the Republic Foundation for the Development of Scientific and Artistic Youth, a scholarship holder of the Fund for Young Talents of the RS and a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development throughout her doctoral studies.

She was a researcher on the project of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Serbia entitled: "Biomedicine, environmental protection and law".

She participated in one international conference and two scientific international conferences. She is the author of five published works.

She passed the state qualifying exam under the programme for higher education. She graduated with honors from the political academy of the "Svetozar Miletić" Foundation.

She gained her first work experience in the private sector (1 July 2016 to 31 January 2019), performing work in the field of labour and legal relations. She gained work experience in the public sector by working in the City Administration for Regulations of the City of Novi Sad (in the period from 11 February 2019 to 11 January 2021, on normative-legal affairs and study-analytical affairs), and in the Assembly Service of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, where she held the position of the Assistant Secretary General of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, from 18 January 2021.

She speaks English . She is happily married and mother of three children.

Deputy Secretary General

The Deputy Secretary General shall be appointed by the Assembly upon the proposal of the Secretary General of the Assembly, with the written consent of the President of the Assembly. 

The Deputy Secretary General of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina is Szakállas Zsolt, who was appointed the Deputy Secretary General of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, at the session held on 25 April 2024. 

 

Duties at the Assembly

  • The Deputy Secretary General shall assist the Secretary General in his/her work and replace him/her in case of his/her absence or inability to perform the duties.
  • The Secretary General shall account to the Assembly and the President of the Assembly for his/her work.

 

Biography

He attended the Grammar School “Svetozar Marković“ in the Hungarian language in his place of birth, where he also graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Novi Sad.    

In the course of studies and upon their completion, he acquired professional development at faculties in Germany and Hungary.  In 2008, he acquired the title of Bachelor of Laws and in 2010 he completed the master studies and received the award from the University of Novi Sad for outstanding success during studies.  He was a Bundestag (IPS) scholarship recipient in 2011.

His professional career started at the Municipal Court in Novi Sad, where he worked as a judicial intern – volunteer, and continued from 2009, with occasional interruptions, at the provincial administration.  From 2016 until 2020, he was the Under Secretary at the Provincial Secretariat for Education, Regulations, Administration and National Minorities – National Communities.  In 2020, he was appointed the Vice President of the Provincial Government and Provincial Secretary for Education, Regulations, Administration and National Minorities - National Communities. He has also completed the Diplomatic Academy of the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and passed the bar examination. He is a member of the Education Board of the National Council of the Hungarian National Minority.

He is a member of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians. 

In addition to his native languages – Hungarian and Serbian, he is fluent in English and German and also speaks basic French.  

He is married.
